Focus Races
Impalas love to run fast
The Impalas’ main racing focus is the Pacific Association USATF Grand Prix--an annual series of 10-12 road races, ranging from the mile to the marathon--and the Pacific Association Cross Country Series. In each series, teams accumulate points toward the grand prize at the end of the year. The Impalas have won or placed in the top three in all age divisions over the past several years.
The team also selects several additional focus races for the team to compete against some of the country's best runners. Such focus races include National Championships for different race distances as well as other competitive and high-caliber races throughout the country.
2026 Focus Race Schedule
The focus race calendar includes Road, Track, Cross Country, and Mountain-Ultra-Trail races on the local Pacific Association USATF circuit as well as other regional and nationally competitive races. Note: Any race on the PA MUT schedule will be granted focus designation if the Impalas field a scoring team (3 runners).
